The Vigilante Zip Rider has been designed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Old Mill Theater at the Shepherd of the Hills Historic Homestead and offers a thrilling ride that begins at Inspiration Tower, 230 feet in the air! As you soar through the air, you will reach amazing speeds of up to fifty miles per hour. With the unique combination of height, speed and the wide open skies all around you, this is sure to give your heart the thrill it craves! The ride will carry you downward on a well-secured line hoisted over 160 acre homestead, where you will travel a total of a half-mile through the air.
 

The Vigilante Zip Rider's name incorporates the historical significance of the Shepherd of the Hills Historic Homestead into this thrilling adventure. In the 1800s, the Ozark Mountains were home to a group of infamous vigilantes known as the Baldknobbers who later played a role in the Shepherd of the Hills story.
